Press Release

CME and Channel Logistics team to Revolutionize Ocean-Based Logistics

CME and Channel Logistics provide integrated solution from Shipping Dock to Receiving Dock

CAMPBELL, CA. and CAMDEN, NJ., June 17 – Commerce Events Inc. (CME) and Channel Logistics announced today that they have integrated Channel Logistics’ Ocean Log Application with CME’s adaptive software solutions. The joint Portal Technology will track shipments from receipt at the shipper’s loading dock through transport and delivery to the customer’s loading dock. The benefits include streamlined operations and auditable accuracy of goods levels throughout the entire process. The joint solution is currently available.

CME’s logistics applications streamline receipt of goods, reconciliation with items ordered, and recommendations for improved operations. Channel Logistics’ Ocean Log “Private Logistics Network” provides unparalleled efficiencies throughout the entire ocean transportation execution process – from selecting a vendor to processing paperwork to managing intransit operations. “Channel Logistics’ capabilities and targeted markets align perfectly with CME’s goals,” said Anand M. Das, CEO and CTO of Commerce Events Inc. “The integrated solution will drive unparalleled efficiencies from end to end, as measured by both the top and bottom lines.”

CME and Channel Logistics are targeting the same markets – Department of Defense and Global 5000 shippers – for their solution. “Together, our companies provide unmatched benefits to our joint customers,” said Livingston Davies, Chairman of Channel Logistics. “Our joint efforts will allow us to leverage each other’s resources and contacts to quickly capture and delight our user base.”

CME’s software solutions will act as a real-time feed to the Ocean Log Application, thereby enabling greater efficiencies and unparalleled accuracy. Ocean Log’s up-to-the-event status information will also be utilized by CME’s recommendation engine to proactively notify Defense logisticians and Supply Chain operations personnel of a problem situation and how it can be effectively resolved. The combined solution is now available.
